Scottish Widows currently employs around 4,000 people: in customer service; information technology; marketing and distribution; risk, legal and compliance; finance and support and * achieved the 'Investor In People' Award in 1994 for commitment to developing staff to full potential. This was reassessed and re-awarded in 1997 and, most recently, in February 2002 for a further three years.
