On 25th September, the CIPD held their annual People Management Awards (PMAs) at Grosvenor House in London. Resource Management were the headline sponsors of the event for the fourth consecutive year and proud to sponsor an event that celebrates the brightest and best in HR and L&D; they have been running since 1996 and are a highly anticipated event in the industry.
RM were not only the headline sponsor of the event but also the sponsor of the Best Recruitment and Talent Management Initiative. The nominees for this award included the Office for Nuclear Regulation, the Co-op, Starling Bank, MTR Crossrail, the MoJ, and Mitchells & Butlers but it was Fujitsu that won the category. Their realigned graduate scheme helped to fill out the growing skills shortage within the company as well as balancing out the gender percentages. By addressing these concerns, Fujitsu demonstrated that they’re a company with the future in mind.
The Overall Winner award was scooped up by Specsavers, who also won the Best Apprentice Scheme. They showed that their scheme recruited from a diverse range of backgrounds and ethnicities as well as into a number of different areas in the organisation. As headline sponsors, the Overall Winner award was also sponsored by RM.
“The CIPD PMAs are always a great evening for the HR industry and this year’s was no exception; it is always a fantastic event to celebrate those in HR and L&D and all their hard work and dedication to their companies. We’d like to thank the CIPD for having Resource Management again as the headline sponsors for the awards and a sincere congratulations to all of those who were nominated and who those who won – it’s greatly deserved.”
Mike Beesley, CEO of Resource Management.
